Turner Prize 2024 winner Jasleen Kaur will contribute to a dynamic artist-led panel discussion at Art Yard Studios, Bankside Hotel, on 10 October 2025. The event, part of Unframed Futures: 2025 Breakthrough Artist Fellowship Showcase, will explore how artists can access, sustain, and shape support networks throughout their careers.
Curated and chaired by Hannah Wallis, co-programme director at Grand Union, the discussion brings together Kaur alongside curator Amrita Dhallu and Joshua Donkor, former Artists Futures Fund Fellow. Together, they will examine short- and long-term support models, collective networks of care, and the structures artists need to thrive in a rapidly evolving cultural landscape.
The panel brings together a range of voices shaping contemporary artistic practice. Jasleen Kaur draws on her interdisciplinary work in sculpture, sound, and installation to reflect on inherited and withheld histories. Amrita Dhallu contributes insights from her curatorial background focused on diasporic feminist approaches to sound, archival technologies, and worlding practices. Joshua Donkor, former Artists Futures Fund Fellow, shares his perspective as a painter exploring identity, belonging, and personal histories. Together, alongside chair Hannah Wallis, the panel offers a rich and timely discussion on the structures, networks, and support systems that help artists thrive across different stages of their careers.
